When you purchase your new DeWalt power tool you are automatically given a 1-year guarantee warranty, but you do have the option to extend by 2 years for a FREE 3-year Extended Warranty. If you wish to register for the extended 3-year warranty it has to be done within four weeks of purchasing the tool. If you have purchased a DeWalt twin pack or DeWalt kit, you must register these power tools individually. The 3-year guarantee starts from your original purchase date and ends 36 months later, so if you have a repair or replacement under the guarantee, that doesn’t extend your guarantee period.
You can only claim the DeWalt warranty if you purchased the tool from an authorised DeWalt seller and are the original user of the purchased tool. The DeWalt 3-year extended warranty is not available for people purchasing DeWalt tools for resale or hire. The guarantee is not transferrable. It is only available to the original DeWalt product user who has purchased and registered the product.

When returning your power tool to get repaired under an extended warranty you must have proof of purchase and a valid DeWalt European 3-year guarantee certificate.
There is a small number of DeWalt power tools that are excluded from the 3-year extended warranty and they include; Fastening Tools e.g. Nailers, Powder Impact tools, Batteries (excluding Powerstack™) and Chargers.

Create a DeWalt account on MyDeWalt – Here you will need to fill out all your personal information
Once done then you can register for the extended warranty on the Ireland DeWalt website https://www.dewalt.ie/my-dewalt/register-tool
When you’re on the DeWalt product registration page you will need your products model number, serial code, product date code and date of purchase along with your proof of purchase
Once you have filled out the product information and your proof of purchase you are then ready to register your power tool for an extended 3 year warranty
