Milwaukee Gen 4 Percussion Drill

Thinking of updating your drill and want to see what the Milwaukee next-generation percussion drill is like? we will be checking out the new Milwaukee Gen 4 percussion drill and seeing what additional features or improvements Milwaukee has made.

Milwaukee Gen 4 drill through concrete

The Gen 4 percussion drill has a high power efficiency under load with a very impressive 158 Nm torque (that is an extra 23 Nm torque upgrade from the Gen 3 model) and its heavy-duty brushless motor gives it plenty of force to drill through the toughest of materials comfortably and allow for faster drilling and driving applications under load. This drill has two speed modes, speed one is 0 -500 RPM & the second is 0-2100 RPM that helps give you more control depending on the different materials you are drilling.  The Gen 4 comes with a side handle that will also help you when it comes to control when drilling, its comfortable grip will also help reduce any hand fatigue.

The biggest change from the Gen 4 model is the addition of Auto stop control. This feature gives the user more safety when operating the drill and prevents over-rotation in a bind-up. The drill will automatically stop and prevent damage to the material or injury to the user.  If you wish you do have the option of turning this function off, you have to push the forward/reverse control switch to the centre position and pull the trigger 5 times. The AutoStop light turns on and then dims until it is off. To turn it back on, just reverse the process. The only difference is the AutoStop light will flash to let you know it’s engaged again.

The Gen 4 comes with an impressive 13mm chuck, which enables you to have an improved grip and control when drilling while also helping with quick bit changes and bit retention.

Another feature of the next-generation drill is a brighter LED workspace illumination allowing you to see a bigger area with the light on your drill and significantly improving your workspace visibility. The drill has a battery gauge so you can see exactly how much charge you left in your battery. The Gen 4 also comes with a metal reversible belt clip that is designed for hanging your tool quickly and easily.
